Man in the Mirror - This is it

I've been meaning to launch my new blog extension for a long time now.

And i finally chose today to officiate the start of "BeN'Zures" aka BeN'Z adventures. This addition would basically mean you'll see more day to day uploads of BeN'Z on youtube very much said a vLog (video log).

I've got heaps lined up and just as the title says, here's myself "gasping" the chorus of Michael Jackson's hits that was in stored for This is It tour - Man in the Mirror!

Therefore, as the songs says the change has to start with me, BeN'Zures brings that out of me!

Why did I get married?

Like seriously? Why? Can someone tell me why?!

Why do people get married in the first place? Many people are happy as they are dating away and even staying together. But why take that extra step to say: "will you marry me?" and "I do!" ?

For many reasons as:
  1. a public statement that we're together
  2. to make sure the other person is 110% faithul
  3. for religions and moral principles sake
  4. to have sex without people talking bad
  5. and essentially, to hope that all the above actually comes true!

So, as the pic above shows, NO I'M NOT MARRIED! How could I be? Technically I could, but it's a life-long decision that ain't another blind date. Unless you take into account arranged marriages and the convenience of modern days divorce!

This movie, yes, back-dated to 2007 but as I just watched it, I think it speaks very much of many peoples lives. A BeN'Z recommended Movie! Forget the part where all the characters are black, and put yourself in those situations. They speak of common petty misunderstandings and wrong-doings that end up ruining couples and their spouses.

e.g:
  • work & career more important than family
  • not wanting another child for intrinsic reasons
  • losing compassion & somewhat "love" due to appearance/youth
  • the lack of personal domestic time, SEX

One thing that struck me the most throughout the show is the idea of 80/20 vs 20/80. You may wonder what is that. Simply put, it speaks of how a person has 80% good qualities and the others not so good. Similarly, the person make look DAMN GORGEOUS but with an EMPRESS stature of "I ain't doing that"!

Hence, things to take into consideration, for everyone:

Look at all the good things the person has done for you
and compare it to the bad.
At times even the bad may outweigh the good,
but is it worth it all to give up that person you got together with in the beginning?

That I leave up to you. And I just felt it was a good post :) Have a good day & life!

Word of the day.

This is not a BeN'Z word, but more of a random word.

Do NOT procrastinate!

Strike the Iron while it's HOT!

"NO matter how long you push it, eventually you'll have to do it;
hence, do it once and for all :)"

La Campanella!

La Campanella, a tune well heard by classical musicians of all instruments; but can only be played once great skill is acquired! Two great variations one by Franz Liszt and the other Nicollo Paganini.

This is one of my favorite pieces for the piano as well as violin!

Below are my hand-picked videos for this piece on the Piano, Violin and Guitar. I assure you they are played by Virtuosos!

To begin here's:

Piano - Adam Gyorgy

Violin - 11 year old girl

Guitar - not sure whom, but I never knew it was possible to play like how she plays on the guitar. God like...

Good huh?!

Singapore I'm sorry...

I just can't handle this...

It is insulting to the people...

It is insulting to people who speak english...

It is insulting even for Singaporeons...

I bet those who appointed Miss Singapore thought twice after that.

You must watch Miss Ris Low:
This is the interview which made a NAME for her.

Then after the interview which everyone were talking about, here's an interview:
The Shan + Rozz show: The Boomz Girl

I must say, I have friends from Singapore, and they just ain't nothing like her. I feel... FAR OUT!

And here's a dedicated Blacked Eyed Peas song for her:

A Christmas Carol (3D) - Nuffnang Premiere Screening

I'm certain many of you have seen the trailer, the advertisements or somehow heard about this cartoon film. This show should be worthwhile as it is a Walt Disney Pictures movie (+ Image Movers digital); & from the directors of previous hit movies e.g Back to the Future, Forrest Gump and The Polar Express.

Here's the unofficial official trailer:

A little about the show:
Charles Dickens' timeless tale of an old miser who must face Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Yet-to-Come as rein-visioned by Robert Zemeckis and staring Jim Carrey. Coming to theaters in Disney 3D and IMAX 3D

I was surfing the Nuffnang advertisers site where I saw this contest to win Premier Screening tickets!

That's right! 3 days before the release date & in 3D!!!

And so, I left a reply!

Now don't you think that entry deserves to win? haha. Let's see what happens. Until then!
