The fat batt

No i did not spell (animal) bat wrongly, nor was i trying to emphasize it with the additional last letterrrrrrrr.


I have been rather annoyed the past 1 week as my Samsung Galaxy Note has been dying off.



From when i first got the phone back in 2011, i had overheating issues with it. Several friends shared the similar problem and when samsung got a hold of it they said it was a mother-board problem - yet the same heating issue persists after.



Slowly throughout the year, my handset daily usage slowly decreases. From the initial one full day of calls, sms, whatsapp, internet, games - to the now calls, sms, whatsapp... Oh, phone died less than half a day through.

I previously changed from my iphone 4 for this same reason. But since i bought the phone at it's real retail price i have been sticking by it.

Currently, my phone battery can be at 100% the next 5 minutes lost 10% while idling. Today, my phone performs magic shows by being at 90% at one moment, less than 5 minutes in - phone shuts down and when restarted it's at 0%. Restart it again or when it dies off - phone is at 50%.



Long bollywood drama short - i need to send this phone for servicing and contemplate on a new one..

Oh and the battery is fat.

How have you been?

1:57am it's early in the morning and I am praying (apart from blogging now). I have my pediatrics exam this Thursday and Friday, yet my 500+ page book is still somewhat clean.

Funny thing is I don't feel stressed. I guess I'm having faith that God is always there for me. Nonetheless I will do my utmost best and enjoy the challenge.

Do pray for me and bid me the best of luck as I believe I'm gonna need it :p

Comparisons for better or worse?

People always love comparing.

Comparing grades; later it's salary; then even the wife and children.

At the end of the day, my question is - is it worth comparing?


Should I say that if only I had as much talent as that girl in singing, my life would be easier. Or if only I was as rich as Bill Gates or Steve Jobs, my life would be easier.

I guess the usual answer to all this - 

I'm human; 

is it wrong?; 

I deserve better; 

Why of all people ...?!; 

etc.

After careful thought and much time pondering about this triviality, I have come to the realization and I hope you will too. Yes, everyone wishes to be in that limelight or life of luxury. But if you were to get all that, are you willing to take all the taxes and additional baggage that comes along with that?

What am I yapping about you may be asking?

A simple analogy is the beggar on the street who has life so hard on him. Day to day he hopes to have his meal and lies down keeping himself warm with nothing but the ground.

In contrast, a man such as Donald Trump has the best shelter and clothing as well as nutrition this world has to offer. He is extremely lucky and blessed. But nobody ever looks at his infinite schedule or sleepless nights worrying if tomorrow he will have to lay off another 1000 people because of a wrong decision.


Are you getting the message here?

Do not blame someone for being the way they are in the position they are in or judge them as if you are of heavenly standards. Give them the benefit of doubt and give yourself that chance: that opportunity to better yourself.

Samsung galaxy tab 8.9 & 10.1 accessories I VIDEO

Yes, it's true that in "a few days", as everyone says it (June 8th), Samsung will be releasing their long awaited galaxy tablets 10.1 (and hopefully 8.9 together) wifi versions.

These tabs have been the talk for months now and many have been awaiting their debut as



"the lightest, thinnest, and most powerful android tablet in the market!"





Over the past several days, news that emerged about the tablets are:

1. The tablet will come with honeycomb 3.1 instead of the 3.0 found on the Google i/o limited edition 10.1 galaxy tab.













2. There have been videos about the dock connector for both the galaxy tab 8.9 and 10.1 that makes it a huge threat to the asus eepad transformer.





3. There have been orders avilable for their accessories such as: hdmi connector, sd card and usb connector, charging dock, keyboard dock, and etc.





4. The galaxy tab 8.9 has emerged in the european amazon site at a hefty €606 for preorders.






But now, in addition to all these, Here's the latest video in russian i believe - showcasing the galaxy tab10.1 with all the accessories (including the above mentioned, and the hard and soft cover cases).








I am definitely hyped about this tab more so for the 8.9 and although releasing in the US over the next week, can't wait for the Malaysia release.

on the other hand, tomorrow, or shall i say later at 7:30am is my End of posting Obstetrics exam in the hospital. I think i am prepared, but a part of me is worried i forget or can't answer or etc.

iPHONE & iPODtouch VIRUS!!!

If you're a user of an iPhone or iPod touch, I'd be aware of this and protect myself!

I'm currently using the iPhone 3Gs. When I was told about the virus, I thought it was a joke. But just last night, I caught the bug! And I was like WTF!?!#$

Here's what it looks like (direct screenshots from my phone):

Doesn't look too bad right? Well, here's a summary of what happens to your phone when you carry this virus:

"changes the background wallpaper to that of Rick Astley"

basically enjoy those good looks on your lock screen, incoming calls and outgoing.

Seems harmless isn't it?

Well that was the entire point!

This is the 1st iPhone/ iPod virus to be made. Its creator is Ashley Towns, a 21 year old Australian Technical college student from Wollongong, south of Sydney, New South Wales.

Mr Towns designed this in his efforts to raise awareness on the issue of security!

How it works?

When people jailbreaktheir phone, it allows them to install a service on their phone called SSH.... Generally you should always change your password after setting up on the iPhone as all iPhones use the same password. This virus pretty much exploits people's laziness to change their password...

In conclusion, don't be afraid of this virus as it's harmless. However, do realize that this is the beginning of the cyber war amongst the hackers and innocent apple product users!

Apple Nano with camera upgrade!

And so, I received a beautiful newsletter in my email from Apple yesterday.

Yes! You read it right! iPod Nano now shoots video! & with this lovely camera, bundled is the FM radio + a larger screen!!! Also, athletes or happy joggers would be glad to know Apple thought about them by introducing the Nike+ Pedometer to it.

And if you're not satisfied with that yet, they revised their prices for all their baby gadgets which includes the iPod Shuffle, iPod Classic & the iPhone's cousin, the iPod Touch!!!

I'm very certain that many customers are furious with these changes. On a lighter or should I say HEAVIER note, prospective customers for Apple would be celebrating a beautiful early Christmas!
