A father taught his son about the evils of drinking alcohol. He put a worm in a glass of water and another in whisky. The worm in the water survived while that in the alcohol curled up. He asked his son, "what do you learn from that?" His son replied, "when you drink alcohol, you won't have worms."

The fat batt

No i did not spell (animal) bat wrongly, nor was i trying to emphasize it with the additional last letterrrrrrrr.


I have been rather annoyed the past 1 week as my Samsung Galaxy Note has been dying off.



From when i first got the phone back in 2011, i had overheating issues with it. Several friends shared the similar problem and when samsung got a hold of it they said it was a mother-board problem - yet the same heating issue persists after.



Slowly throughout the year, my handset daily usage slowly decreases. From the initial one full day of calls, sms, whatsapp, internet, games - to the now calls, sms, whatsapp... Oh, phone died less than half a day through.

I previously changed from my iphone 4 for this same reason. But since i bought the phone at it's real retail price i have been sticking by it.

Currently, my phone battery can be at 100% the next 5 minutes lost 10% while idling. Today, my phone performs magic shows by being at 90% at one moment, less than 5 minutes in - phone shuts down and when restarted it's at 0%. Restart it again or when it dies off - phone is at 50%.



Long bollywood drama short - i need to send this phone for servicing and contemplate on a new one..

Oh and the battery is fat.

Question of the week!

You live life everyday by waking up, performing your daily routine (may it be school, work, or bum), eating meals in between, relaxing yourself and finally snoozing off.

You are so engrossed with prior arrangements that you forget about listening to others around you. You forget to give back a little from the mountain you have. You forget to spend time with the ones you love.

So, how many times in a day do you remember to pray and talk to God? He is always ready to listen.


If you don't share a common faith, you most probably have a belief of your own. If you do believe in a God, ask yourself why this God and why not another? If you don't believe in a God, ask yourself why not?

Let's seek that eternal happiness people as this world will decay and one day cease to exist. Then where do we go?

Difficulty? Hmph!

Why do we choose to make life difficult for ourselves?

Look at the picture above, it really is an easy choice isn't it? - well, depending if you are a girl or guy and what sexual preferences you have.


But seriously! Majority of people always complain about how stressed up with work or studies or social life or God knows what.

Why?

Why??

Why???

It doesn't make sense to me.

Is it because of procrastination?

.. because of others?

.. because of supernatural forces?!

Well, I'm not really sure: depending on the circumstance at least. I mean if so happened I was being chased by a dog and superman came to save me, then I turned up on the news and reporters start to harass me relentlessly followed by the CIA accusing me of being an accomplice to some terrorist bombing... bla bla bla. You get the drift.

At the end of the day, we can make all sorts of excuse in the world or universe; but deep down we know the real reason life becomes difficult for ourselves.


The reason is because of the choices we make that lead to an inevitable position that does not cater to the required purpose of an event.


In laymen's language, it's because of our own doing.

So this week, make the "right" choices not the ones we "like".

Comparisons for better or worse?

People always love comparing.

Comparing grades; later it's salary; then even the wife and children.

At the end of the day, my question is - is it worth comparing?


Should I say that if only I had as much talent as that girl in singing, my life would be easier. Or if only I was as rich as Bill Gates or Steve Jobs, my life would be easier.

I guess the usual answer to all this - 

I'm human; 

is it wrong?; 

I deserve better; 

Why of all people ...?!; 

etc.

After careful thought and much time pondering about this triviality, I have come to the realization and I hope you will too. Yes, everyone wishes to be in that limelight or life of luxury. But if you were to get all that, are you willing to take all the taxes and additional baggage that comes along with that?

What am I yapping about you may be asking?

A simple analogy is the beggar on the street who has life so hard on him. Day to day he hopes to have his meal and lies down keeping himself warm with nothing but the ground.

In contrast, a man such as Donald Trump has the best shelter and clothing as well as nutrition this world has to offer. He is extremely lucky and blessed. But nobody ever looks at his infinite schedule or sleepless nights worrying if tomorrow he will have to lay off another 1000 people because of a wrong decision.


Are you getting the message here?

Do not blame someone for being the way they are in the position they are in or judge them as if you are of heavenly standards. Give them the benefit of doubt and give yourself that chance: that opportunity to better yourself.

Semester 8 - one step closer

11:53pm This has probably got to be the longest time my blog has been left empty without an update. But fear not my loyal followers, I did not enter a mishap, have not gone into depression, contemplated suicide and followed up with that.

As the title of my post suggests, I got through my major examz, entered the new semester, able to proceed to my final year in med school, and ultimately one step closer to becoming a Doctor!

Time passes fast unknowingly. But always remember, no matter what struggles one goes through, God is always with you and He'll never forsake you.

Long story to write with regards to my examz and how i succeeded - to be continued in the next post :)

4:37am Have ya been called crazy before? If you haven't, you must be really sane! haha. Lame jokes aside, I had finished my orthopedic posting just a week back. Now in my final posting of my semester before the major exam for this year.

PSYCHIATRY!

Yes, dealing with the mentally unstable. I never knew that the things you see in the movie like a beautiful mind, shutter island, and etc are for real! IN MALAYSIA!

It's a very sad affair i feel. People who are meant to lead happy lives, due to certain reasons mainly I believe linked to stress and poor coping skills, end up being stigmatised for the rest of their lives.

It's going to be my 2nd week now. I'm sure there'll be more to come! Bid me luck and pray for my success in devouring 7 postings worth of knowledge over the next few weeks. Essentially 7 times 300 pages for each book.

As the title says, clearly, this lady.... stole my heart!

I wrote this random song in the midst of studying (well trying to do so) and also surfing the web. The lyrics are melodious and rhythmical, but some parts i have to admit - as mentioned in the song, make no sense at all.
