For the past few days, I've been privileged to observe several colostomies. These were performed under different operations e.g colorectal carcinoma.

ans: The removal of part or all of the colon (intestine). Distal end sutured up and proximal connecting end (from the connected alimentary canal) sutured to the outside of the abdomen. Has a flower appearance.
*Note, usually older patients are the ones with this.
