With reference to yesterday's post, obviously by the title of this post you know what it was and what's coming. So below's the deal:


Above: Dermoid cyst (Ovarian cyst), a teratoma.
Don't they look the same??? Mango juice didn't look the same either!
Basically, it's a cyst (capsule containing substance) in the ovary (female egg producer), which contains a yellowish fluid that became hard after minutes of exposure, and had lots of hair growing within.
Some may find it disgusting, but I found it cool and amazing - how it could grow like that.
This was found when the doc performed a removal of the entire uterus + ovaries:
TAHBSO - Total abdominal hysterectomy and bilateral salpingo-oopherectomy.
If only removing the ovarian cyst, it would be:
Laparotomy ovarian cystectomy.

Isn't that just so RAD??! How I love surgery!
But, it ain't cool for the patient...
No problems ~ Patient already had children.
